Responsibilities Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to accurately estimate material requirements and project costs. Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and other construction management tools to develop detailed bid proposals. Conduct thorough cost analysis including material costs, labor estimates, equipment needs, and subcontractor pricing to create comprehensive budgets. Manage project estimates from initial concept through final bid submission, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness. Review contracts, manage change orders, and ensure all estimates align with contractual obligations and project scope. Interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately to estimate quantities and identify potential issues early in the planning process. Maintain clear communication with clients regarding project scope, pricing adjustments, and timeline expectations. Skills Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Xactimate, and construction management platforms. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, construction drawing review, and interpreting technical specifications. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to manage client relationships effectively. Experience managing projects as a construction estimator within the commercial concrete sector.
