Non-Exempt Summary Machado Construction Co. Inc., is a family owned and operated business located in Halethorpe, MD. We are seeking an experienced Concrete Foreman to join our team. 15 years of related experience is required . Duties- Manage crew to optimize efficiency of concrete job
- Oversee daily operation of the concrete crew including but not limited to, direction of concrete crew and truck drivers, work with dispatcher for proper concrete delivery.
- Work closely with Contracting Superintendent & Project Manager as to the scheduling of project and crew members needed to complete projects.
- Meet with engineers or owner representatives on each project to determine what needs to be done.
- Manage crew to optimize efficiency of concrete job.
- Schedule of each job, identify potential conflicts and provide solutions.
- Ensure that all safety rules and precautions are being followed.
- Provides excellent customer service to internal & external customers.
- Perform daily paperwork & computer functions.
- Manage trucking requirements.
- Take leadership role in safety functions including personal safety, traffic control management, and toolbox safety meeting requirements.
- Ensure installation meets specifications including proper depth, yield control, and density.
- Effective customer contact.
- Maintains orderliness, cleanliness, and safety at jobsite.
- Maintenance of all equipment and tools.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements
- A minimum of 15 years concrete construction or related experience.
- Need to be able to effectively operate all pieces of equipment associated with concrete.
- Must have strong planning, organization, and paperwork skills.
- Ability to resolve crew needs and issues daily.
- Manage budgets and reviews timesheets daily for accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure that all crew members are following safety rules.
- General knowledge of the building process and detailed knowledge of all aspects of the concrete trades and practices.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.
- Need to be able to read & understand drawings and cut sheets. Physical Requirements
- Required to periods of standing, walking, stooping, and bending, for periods of time.
- Must be able to climb ladder to reach equipment operator seat.
- Must be effectively able to use all limbs for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work days, nights, and weekends as needed.
- Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather.
- Ability to work in areas with the potential for high noise levels.
- Position requires periodic lifting up to 100 pounds and 70 pounds overhead. Salary $30.00
