Pay:
$80,000 - $90,000 per year depending on experience The Concrete Superintendent is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to coordinate crews, subcontractors, and suppliers while maintaining compliance with company standards and client expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Oversight:
Manage all on-site activities for assigned projects, including scheduling, quality control, and safety compliance. Ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and timelines.
Team Coordination:
Supervise, manage, and lead self-performing crews in a variety of concrete work including footings, pit floors, walls, interior, and exterior concrete. Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to maintain workflow and resolve issues promptly.
Safety & Compliance:
Enforce OSHA and company safety standards on all job sites. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
Quality Assurance:
Monitor workmanship and materials to ensure compliance with project specifications. Address and resolve any deficiencies or issues proactively.
Communication:
Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, project managers, and inspectors. Provide daily reports and updates to project management.
Resource Management:
Manage equipment, tools, and materials to optimize efficiency and minimize waste. Assist in cost control and budgeting efforts
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
Minimum 5 years in construction supervision, preferably in agricultural, residential, and commercial projects. Experience with managing self-performing crews in site work, concrete, and building construction.
Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications. Proficient in scheduling and project management software. Bilingual in Spanish and English Excels in planning, set-up, pouring, and finishing of concrete Positive attitude Ability to work with a team and teach others
Certifications:
OSHA 10-hour minimum required OSHA 30-hour certification preferred. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
PYSICAL & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions. Lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed. Ability to travel out of state and be gone for several days at a time
