We perform a wide variety of projects involving concrete, masonry, demolition, repairs, site preparation, and related construction work. During winter, our crew also provides snow and ice removal. We are hiring a dependable construction laborer who wants steady work, varied projects, and the opportunity to develop a broad range of hands-on construction skills. This is a good position for someone who enjoys learning and does not want to perform the same task every day. You will work alongside experienced tradespeople and gain exposure to many parts of concrete, masonry, and general contracting projects. Schedule Full-time, Monday through Friday during the construction season. Early mornings, nights, weekends, and on-call availability are required for some winter snow events. Overtime may be available. What You Will Learn and Work On Concrete site preparation, forming, placement, and finishing Driveways, sidewalks, steps, patios, and concrete repairs Brick, block, stone, mortar, and masonry repairs Demolition and removal of existing materials Excavation, grading, and base preparation using hand tools Reinforcement, forming systems, and job layout Basic carpentry skills Concrete cleanup, curing, and saw cutting after training General job-site preparation and cleanup Loading, unloading, and organizing tools and materials Maintaining tools, trucks, trailers, job sites, and the shop Snow shoveling, salting, and related winter work Safe and efficient construction practices Required Qualifications Valid driver's license and clean record Dependable attendance and punctuality Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Ability to perform demanding physical work throughout the day Ability to repeatedly lift and carry at least 50 pounds Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, and changing weather Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a small crew Reliable transportation to the designated reporting location Any previous construction experience is helpful but not required. Experience in concrete, masonry, landscaping, demolition, snow removal, warehouse work, or another physically demanding field may be valuable. Compensation and benefits Compensation is competitive, ranging from $22.00 - 26.00 /hour in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, with potential for overtime and weekend work.
