MUST BE WILLING TO TRAVEL
Concrete Laborers with METRO Services Group work as a team to tear out and replace sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots at various residential communities. Travel Monday through Friday is required, expenses will be reimbursed and transportation is provided to and from the job. Strong work ethic is a must as this is a fast paced, extensive labor position; must take pride in your work and work well with others.
Position Summary/Purpose:
Builds, erects and aligns forms for concrete structures and foundations such as sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots. This position travels frequently with extended assignments.
Essential Functions:
Complete assigned work orders in a timely and professional manner. Experience with concrete breakers, skid steers, mini excavators and the ability to read grade levels and transits a plus. Set up forms, grade stakes, and layout and tie re-bar. Pull concrete with come along, operate truck chutes, operate vibratory screeds, and have knowledge of using a bull float to finish. Able to work thru adverse weather carrying re-bar, running demo saws, and drive form stakes. Produce rough concrete surface, using broom. Mold expansion joints and edges, using edging tools, jointers, and straightedge. Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surface of concrete, and waterproof or restore surface. Ability to travel frequently for extended periods of time.
Non-Essential Functions:
Assist with any projects as assigned by management staff.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Two years prior experience in concrete forming, pouring, and finishing, preferred. Possess reliable transportation and able to drive to company owned locations as needed Able to drive to pick up supplies or others to complete business need.
Minimum Education/Equivalent Experience Requirements:
High School Education Physical demands and work environment: Climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, carrying. Lifting may include up to 50 pounds. Walking is approximately 70% of this job.

Front-end loader/tractor, backhoe, miscellaneous hand and power tools, long handled tools, jackhammer, post pounder, motor vehicle, telephone, mobile radio, fax machine, copier and calculator
