A well-established heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Concrete Superintendent to support its growing asphalt, paving, and roadway operations. This role will oversee concrete crews and field operations with a primary focus on flatwork, curb & gutter, roadway concrete, and related civil construction . The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can coordinate crews, maintain production schedules, and work closely with project management and paving operations to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate concrete crews and daily field operations Oversee flatwork, curb & gutter, concrete paving, sidewalks, drainage structures, and related roadway concrete Coordinate concrete activities with asphalt, paving, excavation, and other field operations Review plans, specifications, and project requirements Manage crew assignments, manpower, materials, equipment, and production Monitor quality, productivity, safety, and schedule performance Coordinate with Project Managers, Foremen, subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors Identify and resolve field issues to keep work progressing efficiently Maintain daily documentation and communicate project progress to management Ensure work is completed safely and in accordance with project specifications Qualifications Extensive experience supervising concrete construction , preferably within heavy civil, roadway, or paving operations Strong background with concrete flatwork and curb & gutter Experience leading and coordinating field crews Ability to read and interpret civil plans and project specifications Strong understanding of concrete placement, forming, finishing, layout, and quality control Ability to coordinate multiple activities and maintain production in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and leadership skills OSHA certification is a plus Compensation & Benefits Strong base compensation Performance-based bonus opportunities 401(k) Company vehicle Stable company with a strong backlog of roadway, paving, and infrastructure projects Opportunity to play a key role in supporting and expanding concrete operations If you are interested in this Superintendent role in the Kansas City area please apply!
