We have been in business for over 60 years, and we are still family owned and operated. We are searching for a knowledgeable, enthusiastic candidate to fill our Plant Maintenance Specialist role in the Raleigh Market. The specialist will be engaged in setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining plant machinery and equipment and in fabricating metal parts and tools. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintains the highest standard of safety in all areas of plant maintenance. Troubleshoots with plants on equipment related issues and comes up with solutions. Assists and trains employees in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment. Assists employees in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment. Assists employees engaged in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery. Communicates with Area Plant Maintenance Manager about plant issues and supply of spare parts. Recommends measures to safely improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase safety and efficiency of department. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities, but does provide training, direction, and coaching to plant utility workers (yardmen). Education and/or Experience College degree or technical school certificate and two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Team-based interpersonal skills; positive and constructive approach. Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Must possess knowledge of pneumatic controls and hydraulic systems . Proficient in the operation of front-end loaders, skid steers, boom trucks, crane hoisting, rigging, welding, and cutting . Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Must have a current valid driver's license and an acceptable MVR to operate company vehicle.
