Represent Opp Constructions Mission, Core Values & Vision 2. Know and comply with the company's safety rules, policies and OSHA regulations including injury/incident/near miss reporting procedures. Bring problems to attention of Foreman, Supervisor, Superintendent, Safety Director, or Human Resource Manager. 3. Model safe work practices including wearing personal protective equipment, safety belts, etc. Firmly enforce safety policies and take corrective action as needed. 4. Work with Safety Director to ensure jobs have safe working conditions and that safe work practices are in place. 5. Relate to the public and to customers, engineers, architects and other visitors in a professional, courteous and respectful manner, appropriately responding to their complaint, requests or comments. 6. When Foreman is not present coordinate, direct and lead workers engaged in paving and or construction activities. Assign work to employees making best use of workers abilities and materials, tools and equipment. 7. When Foreman is not present supervise crews to ensure correct methods of construction are employed with strict adherence to safety rules/regulations and to obtain top quality workmanship. 8. Assist the Foreman with coaching and on the job training as directed. Provide proper instructions to others in a professional manner. 9. Set up concrete pours to Opp Construction's and engineer's specifications including proper fine grading, vertical and horizontal grades, form bracking, etc… before concrete is ordered. 10. Ensure spillage along edges of a pour is scraped loose and forms are cleaned up the day of the pour. 11. While finishing use a level and straight edge to check slab at intervals to ensure the proper drainage of slabs and to maintain quality of the project. 12. Provide your own finishing hand tools. 13. When operating equipment, follow all Opp Construction Safe Operating Procedures for each vehicle or piece of equipment such as no riders, always wearing seatbelt, etc. 14. Keep trucks, tools & equipment clean at all times, taking care of them properly to maintain their integrity. 15. Regularly communicate with Foreman and maintenance staff about repair and maintenance needed on all pieces of equipment on assigned jobs. Tag out any unsafe equipment and get it to the shop as soon as practical. 16. Fill out daily log forms when necessary and submit to supervisor. 17. Assist Foreman with inventory by using sign-out/return sheets to record your crew's tools and equipment that are kept in job trailer or construction vehicle or used temporarily on a jobsite. 18. Receive and give orders in a professional manner. 19. All other duties as assigned by supervisor. Opp Construction is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
