Concrete Construction Project Manager
Job Description
Project Manager Seeking an experienced, motivated Project Manager to join our team. This is a hands-on position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment, can successfully manage multiple projects at once, and is comfortable splitting their time between the office and active jobsites. We are a union concrete construction contractor performing work throughout the Northeast. Our Project Managers play a key role in keeping projects organized, crews supported, schedules moving, and communication flowing between the field, office, general contractors, vendors, and other project partners. Responsibilities Manage and oversee multiple concrete construction projects simultaneously. Coordinate day-to-day project operations from preconstruction through project completion. Visit active jobsites regularly to monitor progress, address issues, and communicate with field leadership. Work closely with Superintendents, Foremen, Project Engineers, Estimators, and office staff. Coordinate project schedules, manpower needs, materials, equipment, subcontractors, vendors, and concrete suppliers. Maintain strong communication with General Contractors, owners, vendors, union representatives, and project teams. Review project drawings, specifications, schedules, scopes of work, and other contract documents. Identify potential project issues early and take initiative to develop practical solutions. Manage changing priorities and deadlines across multiple active projects. Provide leadership and direction while maintaining accountability within the project team. Assist with change orders, project documentation, cost tracking, scheduling, and other project management responsibilities. Take ownership of assigned projects and follow issues through to resolution. Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of concrete construction experience is required. Previous construction Project Management or comparable project leadership experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of concrete construction operations, sequencing, scheduling, and field coordination. Experience working in a union construction environment is preferred. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to make decisions, take initiative, and work independently when necessary. Ability to remain organized and effective while managing multiple projects, deadlines, and changing priorities. Comfortable working directly with both field personnel and office management. Proficiency with standard construction/project management technology and Microsoft Office applications. Position Requirements This is not a remote or hybrid position. Project Managers are expected to work from the office and make regular jobsite visits as needed throughout the workday.
Candidates must:
Have a valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation. Be willing and able to regularly drive to and from jobsites throughout the region. Be available to begin the workday as early as 5:30 AM when project operations require it. Be willing to work extended hours when necessary to meet project schedules and responsibilities. Be comfortable traveling between multiple projects and jobsites throughout the day. Be dependable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively without constant supervision. Be willing to step in, take ownership, and solve problems rather than waiting for direction. The Person We're Looking For The right candidate is someone who understands that construction rarely follows a perfect 9-to-5 schedule. We are looking for a Project Manager who is motivated, accountable, organized, proactive, and confident leading a team. You should be able to walk onto a jobsite, understand what is happening, communicate effectively with the field, identify potential problems, and work with the team to keep the project moving. This position is best suited for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, multiple active projects, early mornings, jobsite involvement, problem-solving, and taking ownership of their work. Concrete construction experience is required. Candidates without the minimum required concrete construction experience will not be considered.Pay:
$120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per yearBenefits:
