Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping, finishing, and smoothing concrete surfaces to meet project specifications and quality standards. Responsibilities Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and shaping freshly poured concrete using hand tools and power tools such as trowels, floats, and screeds. Install formwork and reinforcement materials like rebar according to blueprints and technical drawings to ensure proper concrete placement. Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and cutting tools safely and efficiently during pouring and finishing processes. Interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications accurately to execute precise concrete finishing tasks aligned with project requirements. Collaborate with team members on site to coordinate tasks such as rebar installation, formwork construction, and concrete pouring for seamless workflow. Maintain strict adherence to construction workplace safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe environment for all personnel. Conduct quality checks on finished surfaces, addressing imperfections through additional finishing or corrective measures like plastering or caulking as needed. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of tools and equipment used in concrete finishing, cutting, and pouring. Proven experience working on construction projects with a focus on concrete work, including formwork construction and rebar installation. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and concrete mixers for efficient job execution. Knowledge of construction estimating principles related to concrete work is a plus. Familiarity with heavy-duty tasks such as masonry, stucco application, flooring installation, drywall finishing, roofing support, restoration projects, and renovation work. Understanding of construction workplace safety regulations including proper handling of materials like metal studs or framing components. Capable of interpreting blueprint specifications for various finishes such as trim carpentry or plastering details. Experience with concrete pumping processes for large-scale pours and ensuring proper flow control during placement.
