Job Description
Company Overview Polished Concrete Company is a leading commercial concrete contractor specializing in high-quality small to medium-sized concrete projects throughout New Mexico. Our work includes commercial and residential foundations, sidewalks, curb & gutter, driveways, patios, and specialty concrete installations. As our company continues to grow, we are seeking experienced Commercial Concrete Finishers who are dependable, safety-focused, and committed to producing exceptional work. Position Overview We are looking for skilled Commercial Concrete Finishers with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on finishing experience . The ideal candidate has experience finishing commercial concrete, can work efficiently as part of a crew, understands quality standards, and takes pride in delivering a professional finished product. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Finish commercial concrete slabs, sidewalks, curb & gutter, foundations, driveways, and other flatwork. Perform bull floating, hand finishing, edging, jointing, broom finishing, and steel trowel finishing. Operate power trowels and other concrete finishing equipment safely and efficiently. Read plans, set batter boards, and layout building points for accurate building layout. Manage and perform concrete placement, screeding, vibrating, and curing operations. Identify and correct finishing issues before concrete sets. Maintain clean and organized job sites. Follow all OSHA and company safety policies. Work closely with foremen and crew members to complete projects on schedule. Represent the company professionally on every jobsite. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of commercial concrete finishing experience required. Bilingual- English/Spanish. Experience operating power trowels, walk-behind trowels, vibratory screeds, and other finishing equipment. Ability to produce high-quality broom, steel trowel, and decorative finishes. Knowledge of concrete placement techniques, curing methods, and weather-related finishing practices. Ability to read basic construction plans and elevations. Reliable transportation to various job sites. Valid driver's license preferred. Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Strong work ethic with excellent attendance and punctuality. Ability to work overtime and occasional Saturdays when project schedules require. Preferred Qualifications Experience with commercial foundations, warehouse floors, and large slab placements. Experience with post tension concrete slabs on grade Experience operating skid steers, laser screeds, power trowels, and other concrete equipment. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification. ACI Concrete Flatwork Technician certification (preferred but not required). Ability to lead less experienced crew members. Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
