Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Concrete Foundations Site Manager to lead and oversee the construction of concrete foundation projects on-site. This role is vital in ensuring that all aspects of foundation installation are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong construction management skills, extensive experience with heavy civil and commercial projects, and a keen eye for detail in interpreting technical drawings and schematics. As a key leader on the project, you will coordinate teams, manage schedules, and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and construction standards. Responsibilities Lead and supervise on-site construction activities related to concrete foundations, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety protocols. Manage and coordinate subcontractors, labor crews, and suppliers to maintain project timelines and quality standards. Review construction drawings, schematics, and technical documents to verify accuracy and facilitate smooth execution of foundation work. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction management software; monitor progress regularly. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, federal construction safety standards, and local building codes throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct quality control inspections, oversee concrete pouring operations, and verify proper curing processes are followed. Manage project budgets, track costs against estimates, and implement corrective actions as needed to stay within financial targets. Review contracts, change orders, and construction documents to mitigate risks and clarify scope of work for all stakeholders. Facilitate clear communication among team members, clients, engineers, and subcontractors to promote collaboration and resolve issues promptly. Utilize tools such as Bluebeam for digital plan review and document management; interpret blueprints accurately for efficient site operations. Requirements Proven experience managing concrete foundation or heavy civil construction projects on-site with a strong background in commercial or infrastructure development. Extensive knowledge of construction management software including ProCore, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, and Bluebeam. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans effectively. Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, federal construction safety standards, and local building codes relevant to concrete foundations. Skilled in project scheduling, budgeting, quality control measures, and managing teams in a fast-paced environment. Excellent managerial communication skills with experience supervising crews and managing subcontractors on large-scale projects. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and contract management practices. Ability to operate specialized tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing when necessary during foundation work. Valid certifications in OSHA safety training; additional certifications in construction management or related fields are preferred.
