In this role, you will be instrumental in leading our foundation team to transform a pad of dirt into concrete footers, walls, and piers capable of supporting various commercial buildings that will stand the test of time. Your hands-on expertise and leadership skills will help bring construction projects to life, ensuring quality craftsmanship and safety at every step. This leadership role requires 7+ years of experience in commercial concrete foundation construction including excavation, forming, and pouring footers, piers, and walls. Experience leading teams of 4-10+ concrete laborers and finishers highly desired. Lead team members to ensure project deadlines are met while adhering to safety standards at all times. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute concrete forms, layouts, and finishing details. Lead teams in layout, excavation, form building, and other prep work for various structures including footers, foundations, piers, and stem walls. Direct Installation of rebar (reinforcing steel bars), anchor bolts, and steel embeds according to schematics and blueprints to reinforce concrete structures. Lead pouring of concrete foundations. Operate skid-steers, concrete buggies, concrete mixers, saws, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites. Perform heavy lifting tasks and handle materials such as rebar, wire, or form materials with proper techniques. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris properly, and inspecting work areas regularly for safety compliance. Requirements 7+ years of commercial concrete foundation and/or walls experience required. Driver's license along with a good driving record required. Class A CDL is a large plus and will result in a higher starting wage. Ability to read or learn to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Knowledge of concrete installation techniques, including form building, rebar installation, and concrete pouring/finishing. Working knowledge of field layout from prints is required, experience with the use of a Total Station for layout is preferred. Strong teamwork skills required to cohesively lead a concrete crews. Knowledge of safety protocols related to construction sites including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Mechanical knowledge including operation of power tools, skid steers, and heavy equipment preferred. Ability speak, understand, read, and write in fluent English absolutely required. This role has daily travel in company vehicles to and from construction sites across northeast Ohio. Overnight travel is not typically necessary. Starting wage range is $35.00 to $45.00 per hour depending on experience.
