Concrete Finisher

Key Responsibilities Set forms and ensure proper alignment, grade, and depth for concrete pours Place, spread, and level concrete using rakes, shovels, and screeds Finish surfaces using hand and power tools (trowels, floats, edgers, and power trowels) Smooth and finish surfaces according to project specifications (broom finish, trowel finish, etc.) Monitor curing process and apply curing compounds as needed Repair and patch existing concrete surfaces Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe job site Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations Qualifications 2+ years of commercial concrete finishing experience preferred Ability to operate hand tools and power finishing equipment Strong understanding of concrete placement and finishing techniques Ability to read basic construction plans and grade stakes Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working in varying weather conditions Reliable transportation and strong attendance Preferred Skills Experience with large-scale commercial projects (slabs, foundations, sidewalks, curbs) Knowledge of different finishing techniques and materials Ability to work independently and as part of a crew Strong work ethic and attention to detail Work Environment Outdoor construction sites in varying weather conditions Physically demanding work including standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting Early mornings, overtime, and occasional weekends as needed
