Job Overview The Precast Concrete Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and dispatching truckloads of precast concrete products from our manufacturing facility to project sites throughout the United States. This position will work closely with freight brokers, trucking companies, drivers, Duct Bank One Project Managers, production personnel, and other internal team members to ensure products are delivered safely, efficiently, and according to customer schedules. The ideal candidate understands that successful dispatching requires more than simply scheduling trucks. This person will need to balance customer requirements, production availability, truck availability, loading schedules, delivery appointments, jobsite restrictions, and changing project conditions while keeping all parties informed. Duties
- Coordinate daily and weekly shipments of precast concrete products to customer project sites.
- Schedule and dispatch trucks based on production availability and customer delivery requirements.
- Work directly with freight brokers, trucking companies, owner-operators, and drivers to secure transportation.
- Coordinate with Duct Bank One Project Managers to understand customer schedules, delivery priorities, and changing jobsite needs.
- Communicate with the production team to confirm product availability and determine realistic shipping dates.
- Develop daily and forward-looking delivery schedules.
- Confirm truck availability, pickup times, delivery appointments, and jobsite requirements.
- Coordinate truck arrival times with the plant to minimize congestion and loading delays.
- Maintain regular communication with drivers and transportation providers regarding pickup and delivery status.
- Track loads from the plant through delivery and quickly address delays or transportation issues.
- Communicate delivery changes, delays, or potential problems to Project Managers and other affected team members.
- Help coordinate oversized, overweight, or specialized loads when required.
- Obtain and maintain freight quotes and help evaluate trucking options based on cost, reliability, availability, and service.
- Review freight invoices and transportation documentation for accuracy when required.
- Maintain organized records of shipments, carriers, rates, delivery schedules, and related documentation.
- Assist with Bills of Lading and other shipping paperwork.
- Develop strong working relationships with reliable brokers, carriers, and trucking companies.
- Help Duct Bank One continually improve its transportation network as the company expands into new markets throughout the United States.
- Identify potential scheduling or transportation problems before they affect the customer.
- Assist with other logistics, shipping, and operational responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications Previous dispatching, logistics, trucking, precast concrete, construction materials, manufacturing, or transportation experience is preferred but not necessarily required for the right candidate.

- Attention to detail, particularly with schedules, addresses, quantities, load information, and shipping documentation.
- A team-oriented attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
- Dependability and a strong sense of ownership over assigned responsibilities.
- Ability to learn Duct Bank One's products, production processes, and customer requirements.
Experience with flatbed trucking, precast concrete, heavy construction materials, building materials, freight brokerage, or manufacturing logistics is a plus.
