Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Service Technician is a wide-ranging role at MPW working across both the Commercial and Residential Departments. The service technician is responsible for technical repair and service work on concrete walls, flat work, and crack repair among other responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Troubleshoot issues in the field and make repairs to meet the MPW standards and quality requirements. Install foundation windows and window wells; both glass block and vinyl. Perform crack filling, patching, leveling, and resurfacing of concrete. Mix and apply epoxy and sealants. Safely and effectively, perform all basic sawing tasks including operating various concrete saws, grinders, and drills. Competently layout repair jobs for efficiency. Coordinate with supervisor to arrange daily assignments and tasks for accuracy and productivity. Maintains supplies and repair and replacement parts and keeps vehicle stocked. Accurately complete required paperwork and billing. Manage required equipment preventative maintenance and equipment repair. Effective communication with builders, team, and management. Cross training in other positions and crew work, it is a requirement to fill in as assigned. Follow all company values, polies, and safety procedures. All other projects, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Excellent communication skills to provide necessary job information and job feedback. Good housekeeping on all jobsites and in company vehicle. Initiative to work independently, efficiently, and productively in all aspects to complete all jobs, paperwork, and deadlines with follow-through in a timely manner. Strong troubleshooting skills and immediate solutions for on-the-job issues for work to meet quality requirements and MPW standards. Safety mindset adhering to all policies, procedures, equipment handling, and PPE requirements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and experience in construction. Experience with heavy concrete saws and equipment is a plus. Proficiency in safely using and handling concrete saws, drills, grinders, and other equipment and tools. Must possess a valid license and meet company requirements to drive a company vehicle.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to bend, lift, and carry 100 pounds over uneven ground.
  • Ability to climb, kneel, lift, bend, and stand for long periods of time.
  • Primarliy outdoor work in various Ohio weather conditions.
