Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Concrete Superintendent to lead and oversee all aspects of concrete construction projects. This role is vital in ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and a thorough understanding of concrete operations, scheduling, and safety regulations. As a key member of our construction management team, you will coordinate crews, manage subcontractors, review technical drawings, and ensure compliance with all federal and local construction safety standards. Responsibilities Lead and supervise concrete crews, managing daily operations to meet project deadlines and quality expectations Review construction drawings and technical specifications to interpret project requirements accurately Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project management software Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless workflow and communication Oversee safety protocols in accordance with OSHA regulations and federal construction safety standards; conduct regular safety meetings and inspections Manage project budgets, track costs, and perform construction estimating using HeavyBid or comparable tools Conduct quality control inspections to ensure adherence to blueprint specifications, technical standards, and safety regulations Review contracts and manage change orders effectively while maintaining compliance with project scope Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Prolog, or equivalent for documentation and communication purposes Supervise the review of construction drawings and technical documents; interpret blueprints for accurate execution on-site Oversee construction schedule coordination to optimize resource allocation and minimize delays Manage teams on-site by providing clear direction, supervision, and performance feedback Use tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing when necessary during concrete installation processes Experience Proven experience as a Concrete Superintendent or in a similar heavy civil or commercial construction management role Extensive knowledge of concrete placement techniques, formwork, reinforcement, curing processes, and finishing methods Demonstrated ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors effectively on large-scale projects Strong background in construction scheduling with proficiency in Primavera P6 or Primavera software; experience with Construction scheduling is essential Familiarity with construction safety management practices aligned with OSHA standards and federal regulations Hands-on experience with blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and reviewing construction documents Skilled in managing budgets, estimating costs using Construction estimating tools like HeavyBid or equivalent Excellent managerial communication skills for managing teams, coordinating schedules, and liaising with clients or project stakeholders Knowledge of construction regulations related to commercial projects including quality control procedures and safety protocols Join us as a Concrete Superintendent where your expertise will drive successful project delivery! $25.00 - $36.00 per hour Expected hours: 55.0 per week
