Concrete Cutter / Saw Cutter Hyperion Demolition Portland, OR / Vancouver, WA Metro Area Full-Time Hyperion Demolition is hiring an experienced Concrete Cutter / Saw Cutter to join our demolition team. We are looking for someone who can safely and efficiently perform concrete cutting on commercial demolition and construction projects. This position will work alongside demolition crews, equipment operators, and project supervisors on projects throughout Oregon and Washington. The ideal candidate has experience with slab sawing, wall sawing, hand sawing, core drilling, and other concrete cutting methods and understands how to work safely around active demolition operations. Responsibilities Perform concrete cutting and coring on commercial and industrial projects. Operate walk-behind slab saws, hand saws, ring saws, wall saws, and core drills. Cut concrete slabs, walls, foundations, curbs, footings, and other structural components. Lay out cuts accurately based on drawings, field measurements, and supervisor direction. Set up and maintain water control, slurry containment, and cleanup. Inspect saws, blades, hoses, cords, and cutting equipment before use. Select proper blades and equipment for each application. Coordinate cutting activities with demolition crews and equipment operators. Assist with removal and loadout of cut concrete when needed. Follow OSHA requirements and company safety procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Complete daily equipment inspections and report any damage or maintenance issues. Assist with general demolition work when concrete cutting is not required. Required Qualifications Previous concrete cutting or saw cutting experience preferred. Experience with slab saws, hand saws, and core drilling equipment. Ability to accurately measure and lay out cuts. Strong understanding of safe concrete cutting practices. Ability to work around heavy equipment and active demolition operations. Ability to lift and handle heavy tools and equipment. Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to work early mornings, overtime, and occasional weekends when required. Willingness to travel to project locations throughout Oregon and Washington. Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is a plus: Wall sawing Wire sawing Core drilling Hydraulic or high-frequency saw systems Large slab saws Structural demolition Concrete removal Excavators and skid steers Commercial construction Industrial demolition Prevailing-wage projects Silica exposure controls and slurry management What We're Looking For We want someone who takes pride in doing clean, accurate work and understands that production and safety go hand in hand.
