Responsibilities Prepare construction sites by setting up formwork, rebar installation, and ensuring all safety measures are in place before pouring concrete. Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers ,skid loaders, front loaders and other power tools to facilitate efficient construction processes. Perform concrete finishing tasks including smoothing, leveling, and sealing surfaces to meet project specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to accurately execute project requirements. Assist with concrete cutting, pouring, and curing processes while adhering to safety regulations and quality standards. Use of hand tools and power tools. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Follow construction workplace safety regulations diligently to prevent accidents and ensure team well-being during all phases of the project. Experience Proven experience working on construction sites with a focus on concrete finishing or related trades such as carpentry. Knowledge of mechanical systems relevant to construction equipment operation and maintenance. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and interpreting blueprints or technical drawings accurately. Hands-on experience with formwork construction, rebar installation, concrete pouring, and finishing techniques. Ability to operate heavy machinery including relevant equipment safely and efficiently. Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards applicable to the industry. Prior involvement in renovation projects or commercial/residential building sites is highly desirable.
