Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Concrete Estimator to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of concrete projects, preparing detailed bids, and collaborating with clients and project teams to ensure project success. Your expertise will help drive profitable projects by managing material requirements, pricing, and cost control measures while interpreting technical drawings and construction plans. Responsibilities Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to accurately estimate material quantities and project costs. Prepare detailed cost estimates using estimating software such as Planswift or similar platforms, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness. Collaborate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams through negotiation to secure favorable pricing and terms. Manage project budgets by monitoring costs, controlling expenses, and updating estimates as project scopes evolve. Utilize construction management software and Bluebeam to review plans, markups, and revisions efficiently. Conduct site visits to gather on-the-ground insights, verify material requirements, and assess project feasibility. Develop comprehensive bid proposals that include labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor quotes, and other direct costs. Maintain organized spreadsheets for estimating data, cost tracking, and reporting purposes. Review contracts and scope of work documents to ensure estimates align with project specifications. Communicate effectively with clients and team members throughout the bidding process to clarify details and negotiate terms. Qualifications Proven experience in managing projects as a construction estimator within the commercial construction industry. Strong proficiency with estimating software such as Planswift or BlueBeam Skilled in blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and reviewing construction plans accurately. Excellent knowledge of construction management software tools including Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), and spreadsheets for data analysis. Demonstrated ability in cost management, material cost estimating, pricing strategies, and estimating construction project budgets. Experience with material requirement estimation from blueprints and managing procurement processes. Effective negotiation skills for working with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to achieve optimal pricing. Strong understanding of contracts, project management principles, and construction site experience. Exceptional communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration. Construction industry experience specializing in estimation for commercial projects is highly desirable. Pay:
$120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
