In this role, you will assist in the finishing and smoothing of concrete surfaces, ensuring high-quality results on a variety of projects, including residential and renovation sites. Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of concrete forms, rebar installation, and setting up work sites for pouring and finishing concrete. Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as concrete mixers, pumps, and compactors to facilitate concrete placement and finishing. Perform concrete finishing tasks including troweling, smoothing, edging, and sealing surfaces to meet project specifications. Support skilled trades in tasks like rebar tying, form removal, plastering, stucco application, and foundation setting. Conduct heavy lifting safely to move materials and equipment around the site while maintaining proper ergonomics. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris properly, and adhering to safety protocols at all times. Skills Mechanical knowledge related to construction tools, heavy equipment operation, and maintenance. Proficiency in rebar installation, concrete forming, framing carpentry, masonry, and foundation setting. Skilled in using hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels; power tools including drills and saws; and specialized equipment like concrete pumps. Knowledge of construction site safety standards with the ability to identify hazards proactively. Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently while maintaining safety standards.
