In this vital role, you will oversee the testing, inspection, and analysis of concrete and related materials to guarantee compliance with industry standards and project specifications. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of construction projects by delivering reliable, high-quality concrete solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale infrastructure developments while utilizing your technical skills in construction materials testing and quality assurance. Responsibilities General Quality Control at Concrete Batch Plants ACI Level 1 or MoDOT Certifications Knowledge of MoDOT specifications Conduct comprehensive laboratory and field testing of ready mix concrete, and other construction materials in accordance with ACI standards. Perform quality inspections during concrete production, delivery, and placement to verify adherence to project specifications and safety regulations. Collect and analyze data related to material properties, slump tests, compressive strength, moisture content, and other critical parameters using precise measurement techniques. Maintain detailed records of test results, inspection reports, and quality control documentation for audit purposes and project tracking. Collaborate with construction teams, contractors, and clients to communicate findings clearly and recommend corrective actions when necessary. Ensure compliance with all relevant standards including ASTM standards for concrete testing, AASHTO standards for highway materials, and industry best practices. Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures tailored to specific construction projects involving masonry, concrete forming, asphalt paving, or soil stabilization. Experience Experience in testing Concrete Experience in mix designs Experience in design submittals Proven laboratory experience in construction materials testing with a focus on concrete quality control. Hands-on construction site experience working with concrete mixing, placement, inspection, or related activities. Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools for data collection, reporting, and documentation purposes. Knowledge of American Concrete Institute (ACI) Standards as well as ASTM and AASHTO standards for construction materials testing. Strong analysis skills combined with basic math proficiency to interpret test results accurately. Experience performing outdoor work in various weather conditions on active construction sites. Excellent communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration; ability to convey technical information clearly.
