Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Concrete Field Superintendent to oversee all on-site concrete operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing field crews, ensuring the timely and high-quality execution of concrete work, and maintaining safety and compliance standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge of concrete construction, and the ability to coordinate effectively with project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of concrete crews on construction sites. Ensure all concrete work is performed in accordance with project specifications, blueprints, and safety regulations. Schedule and oversee concrete pours, including formwork, rebar placement, finishing, and curing. Communicate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and inspectors to ensure smooth project progression. Monitor labor, materials, and equipment usage to maintain project budgets and schedules. Closely inspect the job to ensure the pad is prepped correctly and immediately identify if an EPO is needed, and report that to your CCM Inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and quality standards are met. Train and mentor crew members; ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures. Resolve field issues promptly and efficiently to avoid project delays. Maintain detailed project documentation, including daily reports, material logs, and inspection records.
  • Review Job checklist for day before arriving at the site
  • Daily phone/teams call with CCM, Estimator/Business Development and Sales to report on day
  • Monitor sub crews on site and ensure they have all the materials, tools and equipment to perform daily tasks
  • Perform qc's at the appropriate stage of the project
  • Close out the job; i.e. clean the jobsite and prepare it for the next crew.
  • Operate with the mentality that every job is your job - lead by example.
  • Be Professional, Polite and courteous to your teammates and customers.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in concrete construction, with at least 1 years in a supervisory or management role. Strong knowledge of concrete materials, placing techniques, formwork systems, and finishing processes. Proven ability to lead field teams and coordinate multiple tasks under pressure. Familiarity with OSHA standards and job site safety practices. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Proficient with field reporting tools and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, project management software - Maintain X and or Aspire). High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications (e.g., ACI, OSHA 30) are a plus.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed on active construction sites in various weather conditions. Requires physical stamina, including standing, lifting, and walking on uneven surfaces.
