Concrete Flat Work Foreman and Crew

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Concrete Flat Work Foreman to lead and oversee a skilled crew in the construction and finishing of concrete flat work (sidewalks). This role involves managing daily operations on-site, ensuring quality craftsmanship, adhering to safety standards, and coordinating with project managers to deliver exceptional results. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of concrete installation processes, and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. Duties Lead and supervise a crew in the preparation, pouring, finishing, and curing of concrete flat work including slabs, and walkways, Coordinate with project managers and clients to ensure project specifications are met efficiently and safely. Oversee rebar installation, form setting, and concrete placement using power tools, mixers, pumps, and hand tools. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards; conduct regular safety meetings and inspections. Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute project requirements. Manage material inventory, estimate quantities needed for each project phase, and coordinate deliveries of concrete mixers, heavy equipment, and other supplies. Perform quality control checks on finished surfaces such as concrete finishing, tile laying, stucco application, or masonry work; address any issues promptly. Qualifications Proven experience in construction site management with a focus on concrete flat work projects. Strong knowledge of concrete forming, finishing techniques, rebar installation, and related trade skills such as carpentry or masonry Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team while maintaining high safety standards. Physical capability for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and performing manual tasks in various weather conditions.
