ROLE OVERVIEW
This position is responsible to collect, prepare, test, analyze, and document samples to determine content and characteristics. Test samples using laboratory apparatus and testing equipment then entering findings in cloud-based database. Collaborate with entire ready-mix team using resources like digital interfaces, cloud-based databases and other tools available. The typical schedule is Monday - Friday 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM. One Saturday per month. We have part-time and full-time seasonal available.
DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES
(summary of components that make up the job) Conduct testing of Knife River ready-mix products and materials from various locations according to ASTM standards and/or State specifications. Communicate field data with ready-mix team digitally after getting results Enter and update aspects of concrete mixes in cloud based database. Must be able to work independently with little or no direct supervision. Must be able to work varied hours and multitask Limited travel potentially necessary. Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
(minimum educational, experience, or other relevant job requirements) AAS degree in civil engineering desirable, or A combination of post-secondary education and experience, or High School education. Valid driver's license. ACI Field Testing and Strength Testing Technician certification desirable (willing to train). Ensure OSHA, DOT, EPA, DNR, MSHA, Federal, State, and Local safety and environmental regulation compliance including attending training.
