In this role, you will be responsible for precisely cutting and shaping concrete structures to specifications, ensuring the safety and quality of various construction projects. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, utilizing your skills in cutting-edge techniques and tools to contribute to successful building outcomes. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life while adhering to strict safety protocols and project deadlines. Duties Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment to cut, shape, and modify concrete surfaces according to technical drawings and project plans Interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to determine cutting requirements and specifications Use advanced software such as Bluebeam for marking up plans and collaborating with project teams Collaborate with carpenters, masons, electricians, and other trades to ensure precise installation of building materials including windows, doors, flooring, and cabinetry Conduct construction inspections to verify that cuts meet quality standards and safety regulations Assist in the installation of building materials such as stucco, plastering, caulking, hardscape elements, and trim carpentry Operate heavy equipment safely for tasks like demolition or large-scale cutting projects while maintaining adherence to safety protocols Support remodeling projects by accurately cutting concrete for plumbing, electrical wiring, or window installation Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections Skills Extensive experience with concrete cutting techniques using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment Strong knowledge of construction management principles and estimating processes Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and construction plans accurately Familiarity with Bluebeam software for plan review and collaboration Experience with building construction including window installation, door hanging, flooring installation, and cabinet fitting Knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing rough-ins, plastering, caulking, stucco application, and hardscape work Ability to operate heavy machinery safely in outdoor work environments on diverse construction sites Skilled in using hand tools such as saws, drills, chisels along with power tools like jackhammers or concrete saws Understanding of safety protocols including OSHA standards for construction site safety Experience working on remodeling projects involving drywall finishing or trim carpentry Capable of interpreting technical drawings related to electrical wiring or plumbing layouts
