Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Control Technician specializing in Precast Concrete to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all precast concrete products meet the highest quality standards, adhere to industry regulations, and comply with project specifications. Your expertise will help maintain our reputation for excellence by conducting thorough inspections, testing materials, and collaborating closely with production and project teams. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile construction projects while developing your skills in construction materials testing and quality assurance. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive inspections of precast concrete components throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring compliance with ASTM standards and AASHTO standards. Perform laboratory testing on concrete samples to verify strength, durability, and consistency in accordance with American Concrete Institute (ACI) standards. Collect and analyze data related to material properties, production quality, and testing results; document findings accurately using Microsoft Office tools. Inspect construction materials such as soil, asphalt, masonry, and construction concrete to ensure they meet project specifications and contractual requirements. Monitor outdoor work environments regularly to identify potential quality issues or safety hazards during construction site activities. Collaborate effectively with construction teams, clients, and vendors to communicate inspection results, resolve quality concerns, and ensure adherence to contracts. Maintain detailed records of all inspections, test results, and corrective actions taken for future reference and compliance audits. Skills Proven laboratory experience in construction materials testing, including concrete, soil, asphalt, and masonry. Strong understanding of ASTM standards, AASHTO standards, and American Concrete Institute (ACI) guidelines for quality control. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for data collection, reporting, and documentation purposes. Excellent analysis skills to interpret test results accurately and identify potential quality issues promptly. Construction site experience with outdoor work environments, including construction asphalt testing and soil testing procedures. Basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations during inspections and testing procedures. Effective communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration on technical matters. Knowledge of construction inspection processes related to concrete forming, construction materials inspection, and contract compliance. Ability to perform construction concrete testing accurately while adhering to ASTM standards. Familiarity with construction safety protocols related to outdoor work environments.
