This role is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating cash registers, and ensuring accurate cash handling. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, basic math skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment. Bilingual skills are also an asset for this position. Duties
- Greet customers and provide a positive shopping experience.
- Answer customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Operate a cash register accurately and efficiently, including handling cash and credit transactions.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the cash register and surrounding areas.
- Provide product recommendations and upsell opportunities to customers.
- Manage inventory and restock shelves as needed.
- Assist with tasks such as stocking and maintaining store displays.
- Utilize retail math skills to accurately ring up purchases and handle cash handling.
- Demonstrate a commitment to customer service, always striving to exceed customer expectations.
- Work effectively in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude. Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic math skills and experience with cash handling and retail sales.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers.
- Experience in a grocery store or retail environment preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Bilingual skills are an asset for this position.
- Proficiency with retail math and the ability to accurately operate a cash register.
- The ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
