- Job Description
- This role serves as the lead concrete finisher and crew lead for concrete finishing projects in the San Antonio area. You will act as the primary foreperson on site, overseeing all aspects of concrete finishing operations, coordinating crews, and ensuring high-quality results that meet commercial and industrial construction standards.
- Responsibilities
- + Lead concrete finishing crews on commercial and industrial construction projects in the San Antonio area.
+ Serve as the on-site foreperson for concrete finishing activities, acting as the main point of contact for project needs.
+ Perform and oversee all aspects of concrete finishing, including forming, placing, and finishing concrete to required specifications.
+ Ensure concrete surfaces meet appropriate Class A and Class B finish standards as required by each project.
+ Coordinate logistics related to concrete finishing, including scheduling, material needs, and crew assignments.
+ Order grout and other necessary materials accurately and in a timely manner to support project progress.
+ Manage crew size and allocation based on project scope, complexity, and schedule requirements.
+ Complete daily reports, documenting work performed, crew activities, and project status.
+ Fill out required PTPs (Pre-Task Plans or similar safety and planning documents) to support safe and organized work execution.
+ Capture and submit photos of work progress and completed work as part of project documentation.
+ Promote and follow all OSHA safety standards on site, ensuring crews work safely and in compliance with regulations.
+ Maintain reliable communication with project stakeholders to report progress, challenges, and resource needs.
- Essential Skills
- + Minimum of 5 years of commercial or industrial construction experience focused on concrete forming and finishing.
+ Proven experience leading crews as a concrete finishing foreperson or working foreperson.
+ Strong proficiency in concrete finishing techniques, including forming, placing, and achieving specified finish quality.
+ Ability to manage and coordinate multiple crew members and adjust crew sizes to match project demands.
+ Familiarity with Class A and Class B concrete finishes and the ability to deliver work to these standards.
+ Experience with logistics related to concrete finishing, including planning, sequencing, and resource coordination.
+ Ability to accurately order grout and other concrete-related materials based on project requirements.
+ Competence in completing daily reports and project documentation in a clear and timely manner.
+ Ability to prepare and complete PTPs or similar safety and task planning documents.
+ OSHA 10 certification.
+ Reliable transportation to travel to and from job sites.
+ Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct crews and maintain productivity and quality.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- + Experience working on large-scale commercial construction projects.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects or larger project scopes simultaneously.
+ Familiarity with using photos and visual documentation as part of project reporting.
+ Bilingual communication skills are beneficial for coordinating diverse crews.
+ Understanding of general construction site logistics and coordination with other trades.

- Work Environment
- This position is based on active commercial and industrial construction sites in the San Antonio area, where you will work primarily outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
The role involves hands-on concrete forming and finishing, frequent interaction with construction crews and other trades, and adherence to OSHA safety standards. Work hours typically follow standard construction schedules, with the potential for overtime depending on project needs. You will use typical concrete finishing tools and equipment, and you are expected to wear appropriate construction attire and personal protective equipment, such as work boots, hard hat, safety glasses, and high-visibility clothing, in line with site safety requirements.

- This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX.
- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $35.
00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
