Job Description

Company Overview Frontline Concrete is a leading concrete company in Utah, known for its growth and commitment to a positive, safe working environment. We pride ourselves on our experienced team that shares and teaches the skills of the trade, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. Overview Frontline Concrete is seeking a
BIM / VDC
Coordinator to support our growing portfolio of large-scale data center and complex commercial concrete projects. We are looking for someone who is more than just a modeler. The ideal candidate is construction-minded, technically strong, and able to understand how work is actually built in the field. This person will work closely with our project managers, superintendents, field teams, and trade partners to turn design information into accurate, constructible models and field-ready information. Duties Develop, maintain, and coordinate concrete models for large-scale data center and commercial projects. Review structural, architectural, civil, MEP, and equipment drawings to identify conflicts and constructability concerns. Coordinate foundations, slabs, walls, embeds, anchor bolts, blockouts, trenches, housekeeping pads, equipment pads, openings, and other concrete-related scope. Extract dimensions, elevations, coordinates, and other information needed for field layout. Assist project teams with lift drawings, pour drawings, embed plans, layout drawings, and other field-use documents. Participate in BIM/VDC coordination meetings with the GC, design team, and other trades. Identify clashes and scope conflicts before they become field problems. Incorporate RFIs, ASIs, design revisions, and coordination changes into project models. Compare contract drawings against coordinated models and flag discrepancies. Work directly with superintendents and field personnel to understand sequencing and constructability. Help establish and improve Frontline's BIM/VDC standards and workflows as our data center portfolio continues to grow. Qualifications We are particularly interested in someone who understands construction—not simply someone who knows how to operate modeling software. The right candidate should be able to look at a set of drawings and understand how the project is going to be built, what information the field will need, and where problems are likely to occur.
Preferred qualifications include:
2+ years of BIM, VDC, detailing, drafting, or construction coordination experience. Strong proficiency with Revit and/or AutoCAD. Experience with Navisworks and clash detection a plus. Ability to read and understand structural and architectural construction documents. Strong understanding of dimensions, elevations, coordinates, and construction layout. Concrete, structural, steel, MEP, or self-perform construction experience is highly desirable. Experience with data centers, industrial facilities, semiconductor facilities, or other complex projects is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to independently identify inconsistencies in drawings/models. Comfortable communicating directly with project managers, superintendents, engineers, and field personnel. The Person We're Looking For You may be a BIM Coordinator today, but you could also be a BIM Technician, VDC Technician, concrete detailer, structural detailer, CAD technician, project engineer, or experienced field person who has developed strong modeling skills. We're more interested in construction knowledge, technical ability, and problem-solving instincts than a particular job title. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys figuring out how things actually get built and wants to become a key technical resource for project teams working on some of the largest and most complex concrete projects in the country.
