Fortress Floors Virginia is a family-owned business serving Central Virginia. We are a leading installer of 100% Polyurea-Based Concrete Floor Coating Systems with Polyaspartic Top Coats . We transform garage floors, patios, basements, pool decks, sidewalks, commercial spaces, and more. We take pride in providing our customers with beautiful, durable, and long-lasting floors — and we're growing!
Position Overview:
We are growing and looking for a Crew Lead who can take ownership of a professional installation team. The Crew Lead will manage all aspects of daily job site operations, ensure top-quality floor coating installations, and deliver excellent customer service. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong communication, technical, and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities:
Lead a 2-3 person crew in the installation of our concrete floor coating systems Oversee job site setup, execution, cleanup, and completion Prepare concrete floors using diamond grinders and surface prep equipment Perform concrete crack repair and patching using fix material Apply polyurea base coat, broadcast decorative flakes, and finish with a polyaspartic top coat Monitor and maintain quality control standards throughout the project Communicate professionally and clearly with customers before, during, and after installation Ensure all crew members follow safety protocols and company procedures Transport materials, equipment, and team to and from job sites using company truck and trailer Maintain tools and equipment; report maintenance or repair needs Quality work & customer service are our top priorities
Qualifications:
Prior experience in concrete coatings, flooring, construction, or related field (2+ years preferred) Leadership experience or strong potential to manage small teams Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills Proficient with power tools and surface preparation equipment (training provided) Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship Valid driver's license with clean, insurable driving record Ability to safely operate a truck and 16' trailer Physically able to lift 50+ lbs and work on feet for extended periods Willingness to work in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
