Job Description

Line of Business:
RMC As a Senior Sales Representative in the Ready-Mix Concrete (RMC) division, you will be responsible for driving sales, building strong relationships with customers, and managing the existing customer portfolio. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions using Heidelberg Materials' high-quality concrete products. Heidelberg Materials North America operates more than 450 locations with approximately 9,000 employees in the U.S. and Canada. Heidelberg Materials is on the lookout for a proactive Sales Representative to spearhead our sales and marketing initiatives for Ready-Mix Concrete. The ideal candidate will strengthen our customer base and manage their pipeline and orderbook, ensuring accurate sales volume forecasts.
What You'll Get To Do:
Leadership & Supervision
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, production and logistics, to ensure timely delivery of products. Customer Management
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities. Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers. Technical Services

  • Negotiate complex contracts and pricing agreements with customers. Safety and Environment

  • Utilize CRM to ensure performance and identify growth opportunities. Sales Excellence
  • Prepare and deliver high-impact sales presentations, quotes, and personally field any potential customer issues. Process Improvement
  • Lead and mentor junior sales staff, sharing best practices and industry insights. Market Knowledge
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth Strive for
Team Goals:
Collaborate with HM Washington Sales, Operations and Customer Service Managers to shape and execute the company's strategic plan under the leadership of the Area Manager.
Essential Experience and Skills:
Knowledge:
Strong awareness of the concrete industry, its operational and commercial components. Entrepreneurial mindset with a high sense of ownership and accountability. Solid understanding of business operations. Ability to translate strategic direction into actionable medium and long-term plans. Expertise in managing sales cycles, prospecting, closing, and post-sale. Understanding of how to qualify and prioritize leads based on conversion rates
Skills:
Excellent communication skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels. Strong collaboration skills to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes across internal and external teams. Ability to develop and maintain relationships across diverse stakeholder groups. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and industry-specific software. Strong negotiation and influencing abilities, including contract negotiations. Change management awareness and adaptability. Critical thinking skills for synthesizing insights and data. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
Education and Experience:
Proven track record of achievement within the RMC industry 2+ years. Experience in project management. Understanding of commercial construction contracts. Previous experience with concrete quality testing and submittals. Strong ability to achieve and exceed sales targets. Familiarity with sales analytics tools to assess sales performance, customer data, and market trends. What we have to offer Competitive wage ranging from $104,220

Work Environment This role is expected to be in the office, but mostly out in the market, visiting plants, customer offices, job sites, and prospecting future projects.
