Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Concrete Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming freshly poured concrete into smooth, durable surfaces that meet project specifications and quality standards. Your expertise in finishing techniques, blueprint interpretation, and working with various tools will ensure the successful completion of concrete projects ranging from sidewalks and driveways to complex architectural features. Responsibilities Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and shaping freshly poured concrete using hand tools and power tools such as trowels, floats, and screeds. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute concrete finishing tasks according to project plans. Install rebar reinforcement and formwork structures to support concrete placement and ensure structural integrity. Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and cutting tools efficiently to facilitate pouring and finishing processes. Coordinate with team members on construction sites to perform concrete pouring, curing, and surface treatments like sealing or caulking. Follow strict safety protocols related to heavy lifting, working at heights, handling hazardous materials, and operating machinery in compliance with construction workplace safety regulations. Assist with related tasks such as masonry work, tile laying, stucco application, or restoration projects as needed to support overall project goals. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of construction tools, power equipment, and heavy machinery used in concrete finishing. Proven experience in construction estimating and interpreting detailed blueprints or technical drawings. Skilled in various concrete finishing techniques including floating, troweling, edging, brooming, and polishing. Knowledge of formwork construction, rebar installation, concrete cutting, and pouring procedures. Familiarity with construction site safety regulations and best practices for hazard prevention. Ability to operate hand tools such as hammers, chisels, saws; power tools including drills and grinders; and specialized equipment like concrete mixers and pumps. Experience working on diverse construction projects involving renovation, heavy lifting, framing carpentry (metal stud framing), flooring installation, tile laying, or stucco application. Competence in reading blueprints and schematics for accurate project execution; interpreting technical specifications is essential. Excellent teamwork skills combined with the ability to work independently under tight deadlines while maintaining high safety standards. $33.00 - $44.10 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
