Landscape Construction Foreman / Lead Installer Stonecrest Landscaping is seeking an experienced Landscape Construction Foreman / Lead Installer to join our team. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone with strong landscape construction experience who can work independently, lead a small crew, maintain high-quality workmanship, and help keep projects moving efficiently from start to finish. This is not an entry-level landscape laborer position. We are looking for someone who has real field experience in landscape construction and understands proper installation methods, jobsite organization, grading, drainage, irrigation, hardscape, and planting. Responsibilities The Landscape Construction Foreman / Lead Installer will be responsible for helping manage and perform day-to-day landscape construction work, including: Lead and work alongside a small landscape construction crew Review project plans, measurements, layouts, and scope of work Lay out projects accurately before installation Establish proper grades, elevations, slopes, and drainage Coordinate daily tasks and keep crew members productive Maintain quality control throughout the project Communicate material needs, project issues, and job progress with the owner/project manager Help organize material deliveries and jobsite staging Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are used properly Keep jobsites clean, organized, and professional Identify potential problems before they become costly mistakes Maintain a safe working environment Complete projects according to company standards and specifications Communicate professionally with homeowners when necessary Required Landscape Construction Experience Applicants should have several years of professional landscape construction experience and be comfortable performing or overseeing the following: Hardscape & Paver Installation Paver patios Paver walkways Driveways and parking areas Outdoor steps and landings Proper excavation depths Geotextile fabric installation Aggregate base installation Compaction Screeding and bedding layers Paver layout and cutting Edge restraint installation Joint material installation Setting elevations and maintaining proper drainage Experience with permeable or open-graded paver installations is a plus. Retaining Walls Must understand proper construction methods for segmental retaining walls, including: Excavation Base preparation Compaction Leveling the first course Drain rock installation Perforated drain pipe Geotextile separation fabric Proper backfill procedures Geogrid installation when required Cutting and fitting retaining wall blocks Cap installation Maintaining proper setback and alignment Experience with hillside construction and terraced retaining walls is highly preferred. Drainage & Grading Applicant should understand how water moves through a property and how to properly grade and drain landscaped areas.

Establishing finish grades Creating positive drainage away from structures French drains Catch basins Channel drains Solid drain pipe Perforated drain pipe Downspout drainage Drain rock installation Trenching Proper pipe slope Identifying drainage problems onsite Must be comfortable using a laser level, transit, string lines, or similar tools to establish grades and elevations. Irrigation Applicant should have experience installing and repairing residential irrigation systems, including: PVC mainline and lateral installation Trenching Irrigation valves and manifolds Sprinkler heads Drip irrigation Drip emitters Pressure regulators Filters Irrigation fittings Valve boxes Irrigation troubleshooting Locating and repairing leaks Adjusting sprinkler coverage Installing irrigation for new planting areas Experience with irrigation controllers and low-voltage wiring is preferred. Planting & Softscape Applicant should understand proper landscape planting practices, including: Tree installation Shrub installation Groundcover installation Soil preparation Soil amendments Mulch installation Proper plant spacing Proper planting depths Staking trees when necessary Irrigation around new plants Must understand how to work carefully around existing trees, landscaping, irrigation, utilities, and structures. Sod & Artificial Turf Experience with the following is preferred: Soil preparation Grading Sod installation Irrigation preparation Artificial turf excavation and base preparation Compaction Turf layout Seam installation Perimeter attachment Infill installation Concrete & Masonry Basic experience with concrete and masonry is strongly preferred, including: Mixing and placing concrete Setting posts in concrete Building small concrete pads or footings Basic formwork Masonry cutting Block installation Natural stone and flagstone installation Equipment Experience Applicant should be comfortable safely operating common landscape construction tools and equipment.

Qualifications Preferred candidates will have:

Compensation Starting pay:
approximately $42-$48 per hour depending on experience and ability. Highly qualified candidates with strong foreman-level experience may start toward the higher end of the range.
