Full-Time | Year-Round Work | Growth Opportunities $45
  • 55/hr + $1,500 Sign-On Bonus Lead and Scale Service Operations at Thorogood Electric Thorogood Electric is a growing electrical contractor based in Enfield, CT, serving residential and commercial customers throughout Connecticut and Western Massachusetts.
They're looking for a hands-on Service Manager to lead our residential service division, someone who can manage the work, support the team, and step into the field when needed. You'll be responsible for both execution and oversight, helping build a team and operation that can scale. This is a key leadership role for someone who understands both the field and the business side of service work, and is ready to build, improve, and scale a high-performing team. What You'll Do Lead daily service operations including scheduling, dispatch, and coordination of technicians Work in the field alongside the team as needed handling service calls, troubleshooting, and supporting complex jobs Supervise and develop service electricians, setting expectations for quality, efficiency, and professionalism Review jobs, assist with estimates, and ensure work is completed accurately and profitably Drive performance by improving job efficiency, reducing callbacks, and increasing average ticket value Act as the go-to problem solver for technicians in the field Handle escalated customer situations and ensure a strong customer experience Help hire, train, and onboard new electricians as the team grows Build and improve systems, processes, and workflows as the service division expands Ensure all work meets NEC, local code, and safety standards What We're Looking For Current E2 Electrical License (required) 5+ years experience in residential service work and troubleshooting Proven ability to lead or mentor other electricians (formal or informal leadership) Comfortable balancing field work with coordination and team oversight Strong work ethic—willing to step in wherever needed to keep jobs moving Solid communication skills with both customers and team members Organized and able to manage multiple jobs and priorities Growth mindset and interest in building something long-term Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites Why Join Thorogood?
