This is not an individual employment opportunity. We are not hiring individual laborers. We are looking to contract with an established business that has its own crew of approximately 6-10 or more workers and can provide reliable manpower for physically demanding container-unloading projects. Containers arrive loaded floor to ceiling with boxed cabinetry. Individual boxes commonly weigh approximately 80 pounds to more than 100 pounds, so crews must be experienced with heavy material handling, team lifting, and safe unloading practices. Scope of Work The subcontractor will be responsible for: Providing and supervising its own crew of approximately 6-10+ workers Unloading cabinetry from shipping containers Safely handling large and heavy boxed cabinetry Using team-lifting techniques and available material-handling equipment as appropriate Moving and staging unloaded products in designated warehouse areas Protecting cabinetry from damage during unloading and handling Maintaining a safe, organized work area throughout the unloading process Following DL Cabinetry site safety requirements while performing work DL Cabinetry can provide approved heavy material-handling equipment and high-visibility safety vests as needed. Crew members must provide and wear approved steel-toe safety footwear . Mandatory Subcontractor Requirements To be considered, the subcontracting company must: Hold a current and valid business license Provide its own established workforce; individual applicants will not be considered Have sufficient staffing to provide a crew of approximately 6-10+ workers Maintain at least $1,000,000 in commercial general liability coverage Maintain required workers' compensation coverage meeting DL Cabinetry's $1,000,000 insurance requirement Provide current Certificates of Insurance (COIs) Name DL Cabinetry as Additional Insured on required liability coverage Complete DL Cabinetry's subcontractor application and approval process Provide requested business and insurance documentation before beginning work Follow all DL Cabinetry warehouse and safety requirements while on site Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is strongly preferred: Container unloading Furniture or oversized products Distribution or logistics Heavy-item moving Construction-material handling Before Applying Please note again: DL Cabinetry is not hiring individual workers for this opportunity.
