Summary:

Install plumbing pipe, valves, fittings and fixtures in buildings contracted with the company. Installation to be per code with professional quality and safety at all times. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Installs, connects, tests complete water and sanitary piping systems. Troubleshoots plumbing systems as necessary. Installs fixtures and equipment to local code and or company standards as directed. Must provide own transportation to and from the jobsite as required for the work shift. May be required to work unusual hours, holidays, and weekends. Must constantly protect the interests of the company and promote its success. Provides daily direction for employees and jobsite coordination to assure projects are completed according to contractual requirements. Maintains required paperwork. Maintains daily logbook on each job. Performs related duties as assigned. Qualifications Must supply all tools to complete the tasks. Able to follow oral and or written directions. Able to instruct and train unskilled workers in a safe manner. Ability to establish and maintain positive and cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work at all levels, including a culturally diverse general public, with a Focus on quality service to all. Education/Training/Experience Knowledge and experience of the principles, methods, tools, and equipment used in the trade. Must have 5 years experience and be at a journeyman level plumber. Must be familiar and comply with OSHA standards and company safety policies. Must be able to layout, rough in and finish out plumbing work. Must be knowledgeable and have the ability to safely operate hand and power tools. Ability to calculate basic math problems and formulas. Able to read and understand blueprints and specifications. Locate, mark and make penetrations in floors, walls and roofs as needed for piping installation. Able to install all piping straight, level, plumb, and cleanly, to code in a professional workmanship manner. Test and verify plumbing as directed. Must be knowledgeable of local plumbing codes. Must have the ability to supervise helpers and plumbers Must be able to read, write and complete required reports and paperwork. Physical Capabilities Be able to continuously bend, stretch, kneel and climb as necessary. Must also be able to lift at least 50 pounds of material on a continuous basis and able to do overhead work for long durations. Have health compatible for jobsite conditions including mobilizing in trenches and in sandy conditions. Must have the ability to work in 90+degree heat daily. Being comfortable working in confined spaces and places at great heights.

Pay:

$25.00 - $40.00 per hour
