  • $100,000 per year 1 Tom Plumber is looking for an experienced Mitigation & Construction Foreman / Lead to join our growing Cedar Rapids team.
This is a high-level, hands-on leadership position for someone with strong experience in mitigation, restoration, construction, remodeling, or related trades. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of projects, lead a crew, communicate with customers, coordinate with management, and ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and professionally. What You'll Do Lead mitigation, restoration, demolition, and construction projects from start to finish Supervise and direct technicians and laborers on job sites Manage daily job-site activities and keep projects on schedule Perform and oversee water mitigation and structural drying Perform and oversee demolition, framing, drywall, flooring, and general construction Evaluate job sites and determine the appropriate scope of work Set up containment, protection, drying equipment, and work areas Perform moisture readings and document drying progress Communicate directly with customers regarding job progress and expectations Coordinate with project managers, office staff, insurance representatives, subcontractors, and other trades Review completed work and ensure company quality standards are met Maintain accurate photos, notes, measurements, and job documentation Identify additional work and communicate changes to management Assist with estimating, material ordering, job planning, and project coordination Train and mentor technicians Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site Properly maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment Troubleshoot problems in the field and make informed decisions Represent 1 Tom Plumber professionally with customers and other contractors What We're Looking For 3+ years of experience in mitigation, restoration, construction, remodeling, or a related field Previous crew leadership or foreman experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of residential construction Experience with water mitigation and structural drying preferred Experience with demolition, framing, drywall, flooring, and finish work Strong leadership and communication skills Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work Comfortable working in crawl spaces, basements, attics, and other challenging environments Basic computer and smartphone skills Dependable, organized, and professional This Is a Leadership Position This is not an entry-level technician role . We need someone who can walk onto a job site and take charge. You will be responsible for leading your crew, maintaining productivity, communicating with customers, identifying problems, coordinating work, and ensuring the finished product meets our standards. The right person will have the experience and confidence to make decisions in the field, solve problems, and take ownership of the job from beginning to end. Compensation & Benefits $60,000
