$85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year Construction Foreman / Post-Frame Crew Leader Naperville / Aurora, IL/Oswego & Surrounding Areas Company Truck | Competitive Hourly Pay | Overtime | Performance Bonuses | Full Benefits | Year-Round Work FBi Buildings is hiring an experienced Construction Foreman / Post-Frame Crew Leader to lead projects throughout the Naperville, Aurora, Oswego, Plainfield, Yorkville, and surrounding Chicagoland areas. If you're currently working as a Post-Frame Foreman, Pole Barn Foreman, Carpentry Foreman, Framing Foreman, Crew Leader, Lead Carpenter, or Working Superintendent, we want to talk with you. We're looking for a hands-on construction leader who knows carpentry, understands how buildings go together, and can lead a crew from the front. Post-frame, pole barn, agricultural building, or structural wood-framing experience will immediately get our attention. You'll lead your crew while working alongside them to safely and efficiently build quality structures from the ground up. As a Construction Foreman, you will: Lead, train, and develop a construction crew Work alongside your crew as a hands-on leader Lead construction of post-frame, agricultural, commercial, and wood-framed buildings Perform and oversee structural carpentry and framing Lay out buildings and organize work from construction plans Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings Coordinate daily manpower, materials, tools, and equipment Set daily production expectations and keep your crew moving Plan ahead to avoid jobsite delays Monitor workmanship, quality, and productivity Troubleshoot construction challenges and make practical field decisions Maintain high standards for jobsite safety Hold crew members accountable and develop a strong team Communicate with Project Managers, customers, subcontractors, and field leadership Keep projects safe, organized, productive, and on schedule Who We're Looking For Strong carpentry and construction leadership experience is essential. Our ideal Foreman has experience in one or more of the following: Post-frame / pole barn construction Agricultural buildings Barndominiums Structural wood framing Commercial wood-frame construction Residential framing Metal roofing and siding Building additions Exterior construction Structural carpentry Crew leadership Previous experience as a Post-Frame Foreman, Pole Barn Foreman, Construction Foreman, Carpentry Foreman, Framing Foreman, Crew Leader, Lead Carpenter, or Working Superintendent is highly valued.
Qualified candidates should have:
Strong hands-on carpentry and framing skills Experience leading construction crews in the field Ability to understand how a building comes together from start to finish Ability to read blueprints, plans, and construction drawings Understanding of construction sequencing and production Strong leadership and crew-development skills Ability to make decisions and solve problems in the field Commitment to quality craftsmanship and jobsite safety Valid driver's license Ability to travel to regional jobsites Currently Working for Another Post-Frame Builder?
