About the Role As a plumbing subcontractor working with Handy Geeks, you will provide residential plumbing services for a variety of home repair and improvement projects.
Typical responsibilities include:
Completing plumbing repairs, installations, and maintenance in residential homes Working on fixtures such as faucets, toilets, valves, drains, sump pumps, and water heaters Performing minor pipe repairs or replacements as needed Diagnosing plumbing issues and recommending practical solutions for homeowners Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach on every job Collaborating with other trades on projects that involve multiple scopes of work Ensuring all work is completed safely and meets local plumbing codes and industry standards Qualifications The ideal candidate will have: A plumbing license or equivalent hands-on experience in residential plumbing General liability & workers compensation insurance coverage Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to handle a range of plumbing repairs and installations A commitment to safety, code compliance, and quality workmanship Professional communication skills when working with homeowners A reliable vehicle and plumbing tools Insurance Requirements All subcontractors must maintain their own general liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage . Proof of insurance will be required prior to onboarding. Compensation This is a 1099 subcontractor position with work assigned on a project-by-project basis. Pay is hourly and negotiable based on experience, skill level, and project scope , with competitive rates available for professionals who consistently deliver high-quality work.
