As Streamline Wireline continues its underground OSP construction operations across the Chicago area, including Streamwood, Bartlett, and Roselle , we are looking to connect with experienced Underground Construction Foremen with strong backgrounds in OSP telecommunications and underground utility construction. We are looking for proven field leaders who know how to run underground crews, maintain production, solve field issues, and ensure work is completed safely and according to project requirements. We are currently building a pipeline of qualified Foremen for upcoming and future opportunities within our Chicago-area operations.

Underground Construction Foreman - OSP / HDD Full-time Field-based Local candidates strongly preferred Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate underground OSP construction crews in daily field operations. Plan daily crew activities, work assignments, equipment needs, and production priorities. Oversee underground construction activities including directional boring/HDD, conduit installation, trenching, excavation, and related OSP work . Coordinate operators, locators, laborers, and other crew members throughout daily construction activities. Ensure crews follow construction prints, specifications, utility markings, project requirements, and established work procedures. Monitor daily production and ensure work progresses safely, efficiently, and according to schedule. Maintain accountability for crew productivity, workmanship, equipment, and job-site organization. Identify and resolve field issues including utility conflicts, access concerns, equipment issues, and other construction obstacles. Ensure proper potholing, utility exposure, bore planning, and safe underground construction practices. Maintain required daily production records, field documentation, and communication with field management. Coordinate with inspectors, utility locators, supervisors, and other project personnel as required. Ensure compliance with company safety requirements, OSHA standards, and applicable regulations. Support the training and development of crew members and maintain a professional and accountable field environment. Requirements 3+ years of underground utility or OSP telecommunications construction experience. Previous experience as a Foreman, Crew Lead, or similar field leadership position . Strong hands-on understanding of directional drilling/HDD and underground construction operations . Proven ability to lead and coordinate underground construction crews. Working knowledge of HDD equipment, locating practices, underground utilities, conduit installation, excavation, and job-site safety. Ability to read and work from construction prints, utility maps, and project specifications. Strong understanding of production expectations, quality requirements, and safe work practices. Ability to troubleshoot field conditions and make effective day-to-day construction decisions. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Experience with Ditch Witch drilling equipment and Subsite locating systems is a plus, but not required . Valid Driver's License.
