Due to continued growth, the company is seeking an experienced Plumbing/HVAC Project Lead to oversee field operations while remaining actively involved in installation work. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has spent years in the trade, understands mechanical systems from the ground up, and enjoys leading by example in the field.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned plumber or HVAC professional who can coordinate projects, mentor crews, maintain quality standards, and work alongside their team to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise plumbing and HVAC installation crews on commercial and industrial projects.
Remain actively involved in field installations and daily jobsite activities.
Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to maintain project schedules.
Review project drawings, specifications, and installation requirements.
Ensure all work is completed according to company standards, safety requirements, and applicable codes.
Train, mentor, and develop field team members.
Monitor project progress and communicate updates to management and customers.
Identify and resolve field issues quickly to minimize project delays.
Coordinate with project stakeholders, vendors, and other trades on site.
Maintain a strong focus on quality workmanship, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications5+ years of hands-on HVAC and/or plumbing installation experience.
Proven experience leading crews in commercial or industrial mechanical construction environments.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, piping, and mechanical installation practices.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
Demonstrated ability to manage field operations while maintaining a hands-on role.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
Preferred ExperienceJourneyman-level plumbing or HVAC experience.
Previous experience as a Lead Installer, Foreman, Superintendent, or Project Lead.
Experience coordinating projects valued from $500K to $10M+.Knowledge of commercial and industrial construction practices.
Experience mentoring apprentices and developing field personnel.
Familiarity with local mechanical codes and industry best practices.
