Building Foreman JT Construction is looking for an experienced Building Foreman to join our growing team. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone with strong building and carpentry experience who takes pride in quality workmanship, knows how to lead a crew, and wants the opportunity to continue growing their career. This position will work primarily on residential construction, while also supporting commercial and other building projects as needed. Responsibilities Lead and organize building crews and daily field activities Keep work safe, productive, and on schedule Coordinate manpower, materials, tools, and equipment Read plans, perform layout, and communicate project expectations to the crew Oversee and perform framing, exterior and interior construction, and finish work Maintain high standards for safety, quality, and craftsmanship Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and customers Identify field issues and help develop practical solutions Train and mentor crew members Lead by example and work alongside the crew to successfully complete the job Qualifications 3+ years of building, carpentry, or residential construction experience; 5+ years preferred Previous Foreman, Crew Lead, or supervisory experience preferred Strong knowledge of framing and general building construction Experience with finish carpentry and interior/exterior finishes Ability to read construction plans and perform jobsite layout Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Strong attention to quality and detail Valid driver's license Additional construction certifications and industry training are a plus.
