Responsibilities Team Leadership:
Direct and supervise field service technicians and apprentices, ensuring efficient daily workflows, top-tier workmanship, and a strong safety culture.
Operational Excellence:
Oversee dispatching and scheduling to optimize service routes and ensure rapid response times across our service area.
Estimating & Bidding:
Manage the estimating process for service repairs, retrofits, and commercial maintenance, ensuring accurate labor, material, and equipment costing.
Code Compliance & Quality Control:
Interpret technical drawings and schematics, analyze building codes, and guarantee all plumbing and backflow systems meet local, state, and regulatory standards.
Customer Experience:
Step in to handle complex client escalations, coordinate with property managers or general contractors, and ensure a 5-star customer experience from dispatch to job completion.
Skills & Qualifications Industry Expertise:
Extensive mechanical knowledge of residential and commercial plumbing systems, repair operations, and maintenance.
Tech-Forward:
Highly comfortable using modern Field Service Management (FSM) software, digital dispatch tools, and mobile applications to track jobs and team metrics.
Blueprint & Code Proficiency:
Strong ability to read schematics, construction plans, and technical drawings, combined with a deep understanding of current plumbing codes.
Leadership:
Proven track record in team supervision, conflict resolution, and field management.
Hands-On Competence:
Thorough understanding of hand/power tools, pipe threading, assembly procedures, and safe lifting techniques to effectively audit and train field staff.
Communication:
Clear, professional communication skills for interacting with clients, dispatchers, and field crews.
