Description:
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Small Cell Electrician to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of small cell nodes and associated electrical systems. This role is critical for ensuring reliable wireless connectivity and compliance with industry and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical components for small cell nodes, including power meters, surge protectors, disconnect switches, and grounding systems. Perform wiring on utility poles, streetlights, and strand-mounted nodes as per design specifications. Ensure proper weatherproofing, grounding, and RF safety compliance during installation. Coordinate with fiber and RF engineering teams for integrated node deployment. Conduct site inspections and verify adherence to electrical codes and company standards. Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform corrective actions promptly. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and compliance checks. Follow all OSHA and FCC RF safety guidelines during operations.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electrical work preferred. Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent experience in telecommunications electrical systems. Familiarity with small cell technology, LTE/5G infrastructure, and power distribution. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and construction drawings. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites.
Working Conditions:
Outdoor work in various weather conditions. Physical labor including lifting, climbing, and working at heights. Possible overtime and weekend work as required. Must be willing to travel up to 5 days a week.
