We are seeking an experienced and dependable Construction Foreman to lead residential remodeling and construction projects in the field. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for directing crews, coordinating daily jobsite activities, maintaining quality standards, and helping ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The ideal candidate is an experienced construction professional who can take ownership of a project once it reaches the field. You should be comfortable reviewing plans and scopes of work, assigning tasks to crew members, coordinating materials and subcontractors, communicating project needs with management, and identifying problems before they become delays. This is not strictly a supervisory position. Our Foreman is expected to work alongside the crew when needed while also maintaining responsibility for the overall organization, productivity, workmanship, and safety of the jobsite. Responsibilities Lead and supervise field crews on residential remodeling, renovation, and construction projects. Plan and organize daily work activities and assign tasks based on employee skill level and project priorities. Review project scopes, plans, blueprints, specifications, and work orders before and throughout construction. Ensure work is completed according to company standards, manufacturer requirements, applicable codes, and project specifications. Maintain jobsite productivity and keep projects moving according to the established schedule. Perform hands-on construction work alongside the crew as needed. Oversee work including framing, decks, siding, roofing, windows and doors, drywall, flooring, trim carpentry, painting, and other residential construction tasks. Coordinate material needs and communicate shortages, changes, or additional material requirements before they impact production. Receive and verify jobsite material deliveries. Coordinate with subcontractors and other trades working on the project. Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites. Enforce company safety procedures and proper use of tools, ladders, equipment, and PPE. Inspect completed work throughout the project and correct workmanship issues before they become punch-list items. Communicate job progress, delays, unforeseen conditions, change-order items, and customer concerns to management. Maintain professional communication with homeowners and represent the company appropriately while on customer property. Document project progress, jobsite conditions, and completed work as required. Ensure company tools, equipment, vehicles, and materials are properly maintained and accounted for. Assist with training and developing less-experienced employees. Identify employee performance or attendance issues and communicate them to management. Complete final jobsite walkthroughs and punch-list items before project completion. Qualifications & Skills 5+ years of residential construction or remodeling experience preferred. Previous experience as a Foreman, Lead Carpenter, Crew Leader, or similar field leadership position strongly preferred. Strong working knowledge of residential construction methods and remodeling practices. Ability to independently manage day-to-day activities on an active construction site. Ability to read and understand blueprints, construction drawings, scopes of work, and specifications. Strong carpentry skills including framing, exterior construction, and finish work. Working knowledge of roofing, siding, windows, doors, decks, drywall, flooring, and general remodeling. Ability to accurately determine material quantities and anticipate upcoming project needs. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to hold crew members accountable while maintaining a productive and professional work environment. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound field decisions. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to safely operate common hand tools, power tools, ladders, and construction equipment. Ability to perform physical construction work including lifting, carrying, climbing, bending, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Ability to maintain a professional appearance and communicate respectfully with customers, coworkers, subcontractors, and suppliers. Pay:
$28.50 - $36.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 45.0 per week
