Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Home Improvement Contractor to lead and execute a wide range of residential renovation and repair projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to bring clients' visions to life by managing all aspects of home improvement jobs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, hands-on craftsmanship, and excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with clients, suppliers, and team members. As a Home Improvement Contractor, you will play a vital role in transforming homes while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency at every step. Duties Oversee and manage multiple home renovation projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and scope. Conduct detailed site inspections to assess project requirements, safety standards, and quality control measures. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide construction activities. Coordinate with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on design options and material selections. Perform skilled trades including carpentry, drywall installation, plastering, tile laying, fixture installation, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, glass installation, cabinet mounting, door hanging, flooring installation, welding, restoration work, hardscape creation, masonry work, and painting. Ensure all work complies with local building codes and industry standards through regular construction inspection. Maintain detailed project documentation including schedules, progress reports, change orders, and safety logs. Qualifications Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in residential remodeling or home improvement projects. Extensive hands-on experience with construction trades such as carpentry (frame carpentry), roofing, masonry (concrete forming), drywall (plastering), tile laying, flooring installation (including concrete finishing), fixture installation (including cabinetry), glass work (installation), restoration projects, hardscape design, welding skills, and general painting. Strong communication skills for coordinating with clients and team members effectively. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards. Valid driver's license with reliable transportation; willingness to travel between job sites as needed.
