Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Experienced Foreman to join our team specializing in underground telecommunication fiber installation . This role is essential in supporting the expansion and maintenance of critical telecommunication infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to handle physical labor, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work in dynamic and fast-paced environments. Responsibilities Manage and lead crews in the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground telecommunication fiber infrastructure. Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and specifications to ensure projects are completed accurately and on time. Operate and oversee the use of specialized equipment such as fiber blowing machines and air compressors. Ensure all work meets company quality standards, industry regulations, and safety protocols. Coordinate daily tasks, delegate responsibilities, and monitor crew productivity to maintain project schedules and deadlines. Perform site inspections and troubleshoot issues as they arise, providing solutions to minimize downtime. Communicate effectively with project managers, inspectors, clients, and subcontractors to ensure clear understanding of project requirements and progress. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and crew hours for project reporting and billing purposes. Train and mentor crew members on safe work practices, proper use of equipment, and best installation techniques. Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment. Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in construction or telecommunications is a plus. Proven experience in underground utility work, fiber installation, or similar labor-intensive roles. Willingness to travel to various locations. Familiarity with trenching, conduit installation, and fiber optic cable handling is preferred. Strong physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Proficient in Math. Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required). Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime.
