Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Home Improvement Contractor to lead and execute a wide range of residential renovation and remodeling projects. This dynamic role involves managing all aspects of home improvement jobs, from initial planning to finishing touches. Duties Oversee and manage residential renovation projects from start to finish, ensuring quality workmanship and timely completion. Perform construction tasks including drywall installation, flooring, cabinetry, trim carpentry, roofing, masonry, tile laying, plastering, stucco application, concrete finishing, and heavy equipment operation when necessary. Discussion on specific strengths and skills will be had with qualified candidates. This employee will work under the direction of General and Lead Contractors but will oversee own project assignments from start to finish. Conduct construction inspections to verify compliance with safety standards, building codes, and project specifications. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for various tasks such as fixture installation, framing, door hanging, caulking, painting, and fabrication. Maintain detailed project documentation including estimates using construction estimating techniques and manage project schedules effectively. Requirements Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in residential remodeling or home improvement projects. Extensive knowledge of carpentry, flooring installation, painting, masonry, and related trades. High standards of perfectionism and quality for all client's projects. Specialty in kitchen, bathrooms, and basements preferred. Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools; experience operating heavy equipment is advantageous. Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and inspection procedures. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients and team members; detail-oriented with good organizational abilities. Builder's license a plus but not required.
