Job Description
DURO-LAST ROOFING FOREMAN
Herbert Roofing | Full-Time | $30.00/Hour Experienced Duro-Last professionals wanted. Herbert Roofing is looking for an experienced Duro-Last Roofing Foreman to lead a small flat-roofing crew and take ownership of our residential Duro-Last installations. This is not simply an installer position. We are looking for someone who knows Duro-Last , takes pride in doing things the right way, can identify problems before they turn into leaks or callbacks, and has the leadership ability to develop the people working alongside them. If you're the type of roofer who notices the details others miss and doesn't leave a job until it's right, we want to talk to you.WHAT YOU'LL DO
As our Duro-Last Foreman, you'll be responsible for leading your crew and delivering a finished roof that meets both Duro-Last manufacturer specifications and Herbert Roofing's quality standards.You'll:
- Lead and supervise a small roofing crew from job setup through completion
- Lay out and install residential Duro-Last roofing systems
- Perform and oversee proper membrane welding, seams, patches, penetrations, transitions, and detail work
- Properly install edge metal, flashings, curbs, drains, scuppers, pipe boots, vents, corners, and other roof details
- Inspect the roof deck and substrate before installation begins
- Identify potential installation issues before they become leaks, warranty claims, or callbacks
- Perform quality-control inspections throughout the job—not just at completion
- Train and develop less-experienced crew members
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and professional jobsite
- Assist with occasional commercial flat-roof service and repair work when needed
WE'RE LOOKING FOR A FOREMAN, NOT JUST AN INSTALLER
Being technically good at roofing isn't enough for this position. We want someone who can build a great crew. Our Foreman is expected to teach proper installation techniques, explain why something needs to be done a certain way, correct mistakes, hold people accountable, and help less-experienced employees become skilled Duro-Last installers. You will set the standard for your crew when it comes to: Quality. Productivity. Safety. Cleanliness. Professionalism. We want someone who takes as much pride in the people they develop as they do in the roofs they install.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Duro-Last experience is important for this position.- The ideal candidate has:
- Extensive hands-on Duro-Last installation experience
- Strong Duro-Last membrane welding skills
- Experience with Duro-Last edge metal and perimeter details
- Strong knowledge of residential flat-roof installation
- Experience with penetrations, flashings, curbs, drains, and other roof details
- Ability to accurately measure, lay out, and plan an installation
- Experience leading or directing a roofing crew
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- A dependable work ethic and commitment to quality Duro-Last certification or manufacturer training is preferred but not required.
